As of 2014, the Hitachi owned power equipment company Tanaka has discontinued their popular HTD series hedge trimmer. For those of us who use this hedge trimmer series or have grown very fond of it were quite shocked and disappointed.
Tanaka’s HTD series hedge trimmer were well built and very easy to use. To discontinue such great hedge trimmers was quite ludicrous, or rather it would be if they didn’t have a new and better replacement coming out. Fortunately for them and us, there were replacements in the works.
Starting this September of 2014, Greener-Garden.com have uploaded these great new replacement trimmers. Currently there are three models: TCH22EAP2, TCH22EBP2, and the TCH22ECP2. These new hedge trimmers kept what we loved about the HTD series and improved upon other features.
